Cyber Citizen’s cybersecurity training materials

With the right resources, the essentials of cybersecurity are easy to pick up. The Cyber Citizen initiative offers free learning materials in the SecPort portal to help you get to grips with the fundamentals. This page lists what’s available.

Teachers are free to use Cyber Citizen materials in their lessons. The materials are licensed under CC BY‑NC‑ND 4.0. This licence requires you to credit the author. You may copy and share the material in any medium or format, provided you do not modify it and only use it for non‑commercial purposes.

Cybersecurity Essentials

The Cybersecurity Essentials course helps you understand what cybersecurity is really about. You’ll learn to recognise the most common online threats and how to protect your devices and personal data. The course is free and takes around 1–2 hours.
