Cyber Citizen FAQ

What is Cyber Citizen?

Cyber Citizen brings cybersecurity into everyday life. Everyone can develop their cybersecurity skills through the project’s learning portal materials and mobile game. The project is carried out by Aalto University and has been funded by the European Union’s NextGenerationEU programme and Finland’s Ministry of Transport and Communications.

How is cybersecurity connected to everyday life?

We all use digital devices and services every day and make numerous small decisions that affect our own lives and those of others. Do I accept a security update right away? Do I pause for a moment before clicking a link? The better we recognize potential risks, the more safely we can act in everyday decision-making situations.

What are the benefits of the project?

The project has developed a mobile game and a training portal that provide tools to enhance everyone’s cybersecurity competence.
