Welcome to a masterclass in cybercrime!
Next autumn, a new mobile game will be released. This game will take players to the world of cybersecurity in a fun and captivating way. In the game, players take on the role of cybercriminals who use various methods of digital crime to grow their criminal empires and fortunes. Players learn without even realising it as they improve their skills and protect themselves from the attacks of other criminals.
The purpose of the game is to help players understand how fraudsters operate and what they are trying to achieve. Players need to think and observe how, for example, phishing and romance scams work. This helps them avoid becoming victims also in real life.
The focus of the game is on good playability. At the same time, it provides information about the versatility of cyber threats.
Gameplay from the upcoming game
Parents can safely recommend the game to their children. It is a fun way for children and young people to learn about fraud and danger. The game is easy to play and therefore suitable for all ages.
The game can be played on mobile devices as well as on PC. Also, a new learning portal will be launched next autumn to provide all Europeans with comprehensive information about cybersecurity issues.
The game is part of Aalto University’s Cyber Citizen project, which aims to improve Europeans’ cybersecurity skills. The game has been developed in collaboration with Zaibatsu Interactive, which is known for its popular Finnish mobile games.
There will be more blog posts about the game from different perspectives during this summer and autumn.
